WHMIS 2015 – A Mandatory Training

As soon as concentrated disinfectants or hazardous cleaning products are used in a childcare or workplace setting, WHMIS training becomes essential to meet legal and safety obligations.

The WHMIS 2015 (GHS) training provides a rigorous and practical understanding of the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System, in accordance with Canadian regulatory requirements. This training enables workers and managers to identify, understand, and prevent risks related to the use, handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous products.

Based on the Globally Harmonized System (GHS), the course focuses on the interpretation of WHMIS pictograms, supplier and workplace labels, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS), with a strong emphasis on exposure prevention, accident reduction, and worker health protection, in line with guidance from Health Canada and the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS).
